American - Turkish Association of NC has been celebrating Children's Day since its founding in 1987. In 2012, with the support of Town of Cary, the event got stronger. In 2013, the name is changed to Children's day Festival of Cary and it has been co-organized by the American Turkish Association of NC and Cary Sister Cities as a gift to the community and made possible in part by a grant from Town of Cary.
